Walkthrough & Notes

This quest takes place in a public instanced quest area. There are two different types of Wargs in this instance: Snarling Pack-leaders and Snarling Wargs. Only the Snarling Pack-leaders drop the tails, and they aren't looted automatically. You must manually loot the corpse to receive the tail. You can also complete Whitshaws: Harassing Wargs and Whitshaws:Driving Back the Enemy simultaneously with this quest.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'If you plan to hunt any Wargs, make sure to collect their tails, for they make excellent trophies. Tails from larger Wargs are of course preferable.' 'Good luck to you, <name>!' Background Warg-packs have moved onto the lake's edge of the Whitshaws, killing the moose that roam there. Objective 1 Collect Warg-tails (0/5) Completing Wildermore's Recovery will cancel this quest. The Warg-infested area of the Whitshaws can be reached by speaking with Dudoc in Forlaw. You should travel to the plains of the Whitshaws and defeat Warg-packs there, collecting the tails of larger Wargs as you go. Dudoc: 'Are you ready to ride to the Whitshaws? The Warg-packs await your vengeance!' Objective 2 Return to Dudoc in Forlaw Completing Wildermore's Recovery will cancel this quest. Dudoc is in Forlaw. You should speak with Dudoc. Dudoc: 'Ah! Thank you for these trophies. They will fetch a handsome price.'
